Marilyn Monroe Statue at Pioneer Court, Chicago

Sunday, 24-Jul-2011

This 26-foot-tall statue at Pioneer Court (in front of the Chicago Tribune building at Michigan Ave Bridge) displays the most famous Marilyn pose: the subway grate stance from the movie “The Seven Year Itch”.
“Forever Marilyn”, the sculpture was created by the New Jersey-based artist Seward Johnson.
It’s assumed that the statue will be here until spring 2012.
